Stunning original dining suite designed by Tim Bates for Pieff. Constructed in the finest Canadian Betula Maple, water welded chrome and Cognac Brown Aniline leather.
With beautiful sweeping lines and perfectly crafted T-shaped bases the dining table is an absolutely exquisite piece of modernist design. The Canadian Betula Maple wood is an immensely rare cut of wood that exhibits the deep elegant graining and a honey gold tone.
The dining chairs all feature arms, made with a Tubular steel frame constructed in Paris by Rauclair of France; the Aniline leather is imported from northern Italy and hand stitched to ensure excellence in construction and the finest finish. With their heavily padded seat and back the chairs are immensely comfortable and perfect for dinner parties.
Pieff were one of the leading furniture producers of the mid century modernist period, with production studios in England and France their pieces were always designed and created to the highest quality. Tim Bates designed for Pieff between 1969-1985 and created some of the most recognisable British design to come from the period. Renowned for his work on the mandarin oriental hotel, of which Pieff produced the furniture, and Charles De Gaulle airport.
A truly stunning piece of mid century modernist design, constructed in the rarest materials and designed for comfortable, practically stylish usage this Pieff dining suite is a perfect addition to any home.
