These stunning signs date back at least 50 years and were created specifically during the Cold War period to re-direct passengers and for the identification of trains if the transport network needed to be changed or diverted in times of war or large emergencies to keep the network flowing around the capital.

These signs are incredibly rare and only a few of each are available and some there are only one of and once they’re gone there’s no more. Trafalgar Square is an iconic location and the centre of London, truly such a special collectors item to have. All our collection of signs date from before the 1970s and are stamped and dated with day they were received by TFL storage.

The Signs are paper, white on blue they are in pristine condition; although printed decades ago they have been stored flat and never used. They are 100% authentic and were purchased from The Transport for London Museum at a private auction held to help raise funds for the project.
