A fine and extremely rare pair of English cylindrical and oval side table and smoking lamp with frames of chromed tubular steel from the Art Deco era, designed by J.M Doughty & Sons LTD, pioneers of the British Art Deco period.
Featuring absolutely stunning mirrors tops set on the most exquisite chrome constructed bases this highly original pair is sure to dazzle any one who comes across it. The smoking lamp a fine example of original art deco design preserved with its original Bakelite lamp fitting and delicately placed smoking trays set in hand spun chrome holsters.
Constructed by J.M Doughty & Sons LTD this name is truly the mark of excellence when it comes to British Art Deco design; having made furniture exclusively for aristocracy after being selected to produce furniture for the De La Warr Pavillion in Bexhill which was constructed in 1935 by Eric Mendelssohn.
In full working condition and incredibly preserved with the hand painted mirror tops in-tact, the original smoking trays, their signature & stamp in tact and oozing in Art Deco glamour this is a perfect and rare to chance to own a set fit for any home and an opportunity to make an investment into design that will never de-value.

Excellent Antique Condition, the chrome is beautifully polished, the light is fully working, the ask trays are in tact, the mirrors are un-chipped at the edges, the painted mirror and burgundy on the small table have some visible ageing, the mirror on the lamp is beautifully preserved, please refer to photos.
